My question is time frame to heal, well, enough to begin running again. I sprained my ankle on the right foot right before college and kinda ran through the pain (6 months to heal before the pain finally went away) to keep up with freshman mileage. Unfortunately a lot of training was done on trails, so you can guess how easily I reinsured myself. Now I sprained the left ankle with the same issues - torn ligament with fantastic bruising.
Boston 2015 is coming up, and I was right around 30-35 mi/wk which will obviously be all glorified aqua jogging and some stationary biking now.
For anyone that's had similar issues, how did you cross train and what advice do you have?
