My Ferritin is 60 which is much higher than it has been in the past as I've been diagnosed anaemic before. My haematocrit is constantly falling into the low range though, last check was 37.9.
How can I improve haematocrit? Isn't it related to my iron levels?
Hematocrit is the ratio of red blood cells to plasma (the watery part of blood). Endurance training will LOWER hematocrit because plasma volume expands to a far greater degree than red cell mass expands.
How does your red cell mass or count stack up?
