Training is the most cost effective thing the military does.
Remotely piloted craft will be replacing fighter jets, helicopters, STOL, tank-killers, LSTs, bombers, Coasy Guard patrol craft, air refueling tankers, submarines, both land based and ocean based.
Kind of a drop in the bucket. The JSF is a real white elephant.
They still fly combat missions so, yes. They'd probably be using that much fuel regardless.
Would need to see a cost/benefit analysis versus spending the money on other forms of recruitment advertising.
