Mo needs to buy some top-end rabbits. Rupp is good for the 10k from 5-7k. Mo needs some better front of the pack 10k rabbits from 7-9k. The real question is, "How much will these super rabbits cost Farah?"
I'm sure that NOP can afford some decent rabbits to halfway - but to run 26:17 pace to 8K you'd have to be in awesome shape, like mid-26:30s.
There's a reason that Kenenisa, Haile and Komen had to run solo for so much of their records. The only guys who could keep up for 2/3rds of the race would make more money by placing 2nd - 6th in that race than pace.
He hasn't run an all out 5 or 10 in years so idk why people keep saying "he can't do this he can't do that." He ran an all out 15 last year and look what happened. I can't wait for him to go all out. Like everyone else said he needs probably 3 great pacemakers, but if he can get that I think he will shock everyone.
he never specifically said those world records in particular. Mo has the world record in the potato sack race...perhaps he is talking of those records. But to shed some light on the distance side of things...
Mo will NOT break any world record. Unless he increases the sauce, there is no world record there.
All NOPers are dopers.
he's a total sham. it will all come out one day. for icing on the cake, he also cheats on his wife.
You don't just jump from 26:46 to 26:16, or from 12:53 to 12:36. It ain't happening. No current pro runner will get Bekele's records.

He's done. He's not fit enough to race the current best, let alone challenge the records.
He still got spanked by a half-capacity KB after that 1500m. Then he collapsed after a half marathon. Tanked at the marathon. Then he collapsed in a hotel room. More hospital time...
What on Earth indicates that he isn't finished at the top? What could possibly suggest he is in WR fitness, or ever will be?

Agreed. 3:28.8 or not, you're not holding sub 61s for a 5k when all you've managed thus far is a 12:53.
Just ran 8:07 with no competition.

That really doesn't indicate anything.
At no point has Mo run anything that indicates that he is within striking distance of any world record.

Tack a four-minute mile onto the end of that 8:07 2M and he breaks the 5k record easy.
Anyway, thanks to the recent video, we now know that Mo is full of sh**, er, sPit.

worth about a 7:32 3000m. So a good mark but not indicating anything of note.

Geb went from 12:56 - 12:44 in one race.

Wrong
When he ran 3:28 he indicated that he was capable of breaking Komen's 3000m & 2 mile records.

What are you talking about? He had rabbits the whole way. That's almost as ideal as it gets.

Nope. When Farah ran 3:28, he was not in 12:37 shape. That's the shape Komen was in. Farah lost a significant amount of endurance when he was in 3:28 shape.

you can't up the dosages like that anymore
it will trip the passport

I never said he was in 12:37 shape

Don't think the real value of Mo is 12'53". He ran already 12'57" in 2010, when we worked together for some month in Iten, in Zurich, and now is very much stronger, after going to Salazar. To think can run near 12'40" is something reasonable, such as the possibility of running under 26'30" in 10000m.
