So my roommate decided to create a fake hot girl on OKCupid just to see what happens. All he did was find ONE blurry, distant photo of some attractive girl during a night one playing with her phone on the sidewalk. You can't even see her face. Then he filled in the blanks with typical girl things and some bait that would make her seem a tad interesting (plays instruments, reads some famous 20th century authors, likes Star Wars).
HOLY SH!T.
In 24 hours, he got over 100 messages and hundreds of profile guys. Guys were just coming at every angle for openers. So much attention that he could not keep up with the messages and responses. There is literally no way to make yourself stand out as a guy when communicating with this ambiguously attractive girl.
We told one of our female friends about it, and she said that she went on OKCupid just last week. Nearly the same thing. Overwhelming for her. She is not ugly, but not super attractive either.
Guys, you are best served not even messing with free online dating sites.
