If I can run 14:30 5k, does that make me sub-sub-elite?

Depends what your definition of elite is.
I've heard sub-13 constitutes an elite athlete, whereas 13:00-13:30 used for sub-elites. 13:30 to 14:00 would be "sub-sub-elite", in the same way that 20:00-20:30 would be "sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-elite."
I'd consider you a sub-elite if you take those talents up to the marathon. Run 100-140 mpw. Get your marathon under 218 and run at the US Olympic Marathon Trials. You have the speed for it, now get the endurance. Get to work.
