You realize you're a moron for not having adblock?

Seriously. How do people never figure this out.
Also, OP, if you're on windows, just open your volume mixer and turn down the volume of whatever browser you're using.

Maybe moron is a bit strong but you're right.

What if my job is to tweak ad campaigns for other websites or design 728x90 advertisements?
Think about it. You're the moron. By your logic I should just cancel work and read letsrun.

Here's a magic perspective: How the hell would he just assume that making ads is your job? Maybe you should preface your post with that.
Moron.
Hey, Bozo. You can tweak Adblock to block certain ads or even just ads on letsrun if you were so inclined. Since you allegedly work in advertising, I would think you'd know that. Bozo.

Or stop reading letsrun at work...

I have another layer of complexity. I have my headphones in to stream continuous music from my favorite bands on SoundCloud (open in another tab).

Who said I work in advertising? The first use of the word bozo kind of made me sink. By the time I read the second, you lost all credibility.

Again with some magic problem solving: open another browser.
Also, you seriously aren't bright. YOU said that you work in advertising. Read back and come back with better reading (and writing) comprehension.

Or I just want to bring use cases to light and modern annoyances to light. Just because I said :
What if my job is to tweak ad campaigns for other websites or design 728x90 advertisements?

Doesn't mean I work in advertising.
So you brought up something that isn't preventing you from using adblock because you actually don't work in advertising. Makes senses. Which brings me to two possible conclusions:
1) You actually are a moron
2) This is a troll thread
If the latter is the case, 7/10
I'm a high school science "teacher" and I keep my LR tab open for at least 3 months straight every summer!

you are not thinking outside the box and not considering all options
if i work with advertisements (perhaps their placement) I might be doing ... WHAT?
Technology for 100 please, Alec.

Reading through this thread...Op makes no sense.

You might be...ADVERTISING!!!!
Regardless, after initially saying "What if my job is to tweak ad campaigns for other websites or design 728x90 advertisements?"
And then saying "Who said I work in advertising?"
And now saying again that you do, in fact, work with advertisements. If you're working with placement, you still are working on ads. This story really doesn't make any sense.
But back to the original problem, why don't you just open letsrun in another browser and run adblock in that. IE has an adblock extension. Firefox has an adblock extension. Opera has an adblock extension. Safari has an adblock extension. I'm just assuming you're using chrome, which also obviously has an adblock extension.
Because while I test cross browser compatibility in multiple versions of the above, I like to keep Chrome as my main biotch. I quickly open and close all other browsers.
I want the following open tabs open in this precise order: gmail, sound cloud, lrc
Hey, sacklunch. Stop fooling around and get Adblock. Disable it everywhere EXCEPT letsrun. You're welcome.

Which one do you have?
AdBlock
AdBlock Plus
AdBlock Pro
AdBlock Premium
AdBlock Super
AdBlock Pro+
There's so many to choose from and I don't want to enable them all.
So you do, in fact, work with advertisements. Why did you even...never mind. I'm sure you won't understand.
Do you use Maxthon? If not, open letsrun in that and run adblock. Or do as the other poster said and have adblock only run on letsrun. Use regular Adblock.
