I've been relocated to our London office. Looking for any suggestions from locals of good clubs/ training groups and places to live that are runner friendly. I compete in cross country and 5/10km. As I won't know many people, finding a club that is social and friendly would be an added bonus!

Around Richmond/Teddington (south west) is where the pros base themselves. Loads of green space, hills and the Thames towpath to run for miles on. Clubs: Belgrave Harriers, Hare & Hounds
Around Camden (north of the city) for Hampstead Heath/Regent's Park and the canals is another good spot. Clubs: Highgate Harriers
Around Greenwich (south east) has Greenwich Park, the Common, Oxleas and Eltham Woods and the Thames towpath. Clubs: Cambridge Harriers, Blackheath & Bromley-ish.
Centrally,a club called Serpentine are huge. Based near Hyde Park but have training sessions all over the city.
Those are the ones I have found anyway. Sure there are more.
There are plenty of a good places for running if you get out to zone 2 & 3. And from there you are a reasonable running commute from any work place in zone one.
Great! Thanks so much for the advice. I had been leaning toward Teddington as it would be really close to my office and a couple of friends or out in Zone 2/3 (cheaper rent). I hear the price of commuting is really high, so a run commute might be a good solution haha.
If you move to Teddington, Richmond Park is a great nearby place to run.
The Serpentine RC website is a good reference for running routes.
Not only Richmond Park but Wimbledon Common, Bushy Park and the towpath for runs along the river.
Tracks in the area located at Wimbledon Park, Kingston, Tooting Bec and Teddington.
You also have the Surrey XC league during the winter.
Teddington is almost perfect as you have easy access to Richmond and Bushy Parks, even, a bit further on for a longer run, Wimbledon Common.
The Kenyan national cross country team used to stay in that area when they were competing on the continent and I’d often meet them and join in at the back of their training runs - although I’m sure they used to speed up when they noticed me shadowing them!
