I am interested in which College most of this board thinks is best at developing female 5k-10k runners. I am NOT interested in going to a middle distance school even if they have a good cross team.

When do you want to be good? In college or after?
What distance do you hope to specialize in at your life time peak?
Do you want to be a good 5k-10k runner at 25 or will you be running the marathon by then?
colorado, san francisco, dartmouth?
I'm curious whether you'll find a 5k/10k specialty in college for women. University of Portland fits this description for guys but women's teams tend to include more MD runners since the XC distance is easier for female milers than for guys.
Good luck.
Spectrometer has a good point.
Further, if your goal is a gold medal in the 5000m or even 10,000m, you can not neglect 800/1500m training in college.
