Well guys, I'm 18 years old and a male. Will be a senior in HS this year and I have ran a lot this summer (40mpw, about 400 miles total). I started running the Sunday the day after state track in May and I had ran 2:03.10 in the open 800 there, with PBs of 53.10 in the 400, 4:40 1600m. I ran 17:53 PB in XC last season for the 5k so I was lacking there, but ran a 5k this summer in 17:59 so hopefully will get sub-17. I just wanted your thoughts on if I could break 2:00, or even run sub 1:59 for the school record. And any tips on what to do in the winter after XC season to help my 800m times? Anything will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
