Mahalsky is the class of the field as far as the patriot league is concerned but Navy's top four is an impressive pack that Lehigh's 3-5 will be hard pressed to break up.

Schroeder beat Mahalsky, I certainly don't see Mahalsky being in a class above him.
Sooooo... Anybody questioning Navy as this years patriot league champions?
We would need to see some head to head action in a non-slopfest before solidifying Navy as champs.
The course wasn't very sloppy. It actually ran pretty fast this year. I don't think being head to head would change mush. Navy had like 5 ahead of Lehigh's 2
1 Navy
2 Lehigh
3 American
4 Army
5 Bucknell
6 Holy Cross
7 Boston
8 Lafayette
9 Colgate
10 Loyola Md.
Navy doesn't have it wrapped up just yet. If Miller from Lehigh can train for a month coming off of whatever injury he had he might be up there with Mahalsky. American was split between Paul Short and George Mason and has had a lot of sick guys on the team. (Which could explain performances at last weekend.)
American typically peaks the best out of those three programs don't be surprised if they end up making a run at number 1.
Boston still hasn't raced all out we'll see what they can do when they take on Holy Cross at New Englands this weekend at Franklin Park.
Look for Bucknell to falter at the Patriot League Championship (but Holy Cross will too) so this won't be the year the Purple Wave finally beats the Bison.
Lafayette didn't run Thomas Day at Paul Short which killed their team score. Through in a 25:20 and take out a 28:11 at Patriot Leagues and they're comfortably in 8th.
Loyola Md. is destined to be in the cellar for a long long time unfortunately.
American second, top 4 too good for lehigh
1 Navy
2 Lehigh
3 American
4 Army
5 Bucknell
6 BU
7 Holy Cross
8 Lafayette
9 Colgate
10 Loyola Md.
BU looked pretty good at New Englands easily beating Holy Cross who didn't run very well. Kevin Thomas is looking more and more like the 5k winner from track and Olson running 25:06 was a good performance as well.
Muldoon running 25:45 on a fast course doesn't look good for Holy Cross. Tejidor picked up some slack though with a solid performance.
Mahalsky gets 13th at Prenats; gonna be a good showdown up front at PLs
1)Navy
2)Bucknell
3)Lehigh
4)American
5)BU
6)Army
7) Holy Cross
8)Lafayette
9) Colgate
10) Loyola Md.
Why are people talking about Holy Cross?
Bucknell's best day is the only team that beat Navy. Three low sticks could shake things up. But they haven't had a great team day at Patriot Leagues in a long time. Look for the Bison to shake things up and stick there nose in for the team title.
well, the bucknell trolls are back
The next meet is the big dance. Time to throw down some predictions:
Lehigh goes 1,3
Navy puts 7 in top 27
Lehigh beats Navy 59-60
Garcia Garrison 4th
American Absent in top 7
Barring a similar meltdown with Schroeder last year, Navy crushes everyone (~ 20-25 points for the win). American pulls it together and gets 2nd, Lehigh a close 3rd, Bucknell 4th, then who knows/who cares.
Prediction:
Navy has 8 all conference (is that even possible; who cares? they're gonna do it) and has less than 1/3 the score of the second place team.
Several teams will mix it up for second and Bucknell will not be one of them.
To spice things up a bit, I'm gonna toss my ol' sailors cap into the ring.
Here are my predictions:
1. Navy: They cleaned up at Short Paul's Big Race. I think they should win unless something unimaginable happens, like Schroeder dropping out. Oh wait…
2. American: Regan and his Johnson will be first team All-Patriot League.
3. Lehigh: Some say the ghost of Jimmy Miller haunts the Goodman cross country course. Will he rise from the grave of graduation and produce a bone-chilling performance?
4. Boston: Their mustaches should give them a boost, even without Big Dick leading the charge
5. Bucknell: Will this be the year the Bison finally peak for once? Unlikely.
6. Army: Haven't looked too hot, hopefully they beat Bucknell. That'd be sweet.
7. Holy Cross: Remember the last time Patriots were held at Lehigh? HC poop-scooped their way to last place by a lot.
8. Lafeyette: Yeah I just said yayo, taste just like candy cane but whiter than that pure snow
9: Colgate: They are still waiting on the reincarnation of their savior, Chris Johnson
10: Loyola: They need your help.

2. Should be Bucknell but they always fall apart this time of year. Lehigh takes second.
3. American Could surprise for second.
4. Army
5. Boston
6. Bucknell
7. Holy Cross
8. Lafayette if they are all healthy.
9. Colgate
10. Loyola Md.
Navy for the win and Bucknell takes second. Guess those Bucknell "trolls" were right!
Who would of thought out of Schroeder, Mahalsky, Garcia-Garrison, and McGowan that Mahalsky was the first one to break. Overall it was probably the most exciting patriot league champ up front we have had in a few years!
Congrats to Navy and Bucknell (on actually keeping it together)
Can someone explain the tie-breaks that went on in the women's races?
BU and Bucknell both score 52 points, and BU's 6th girl is 31st and Bucknell's is 24th. Victory given to BU.
Army and Navy both score 70, with Army's 6th girl finishing 41sy and Navy's 6th girl finishing 26th. Army given the edge.
Same thing when you score combined 6th and 7th runners...what am I missing here?
