I don't see many people discussing what i think might be the greatest performance ever in Track&Field, superior even to Komen's 7:20 outdoor 3000 WR.
In 1997 Wilson Kipketer has run 1:42.67 to win the World Indoor Championship.
The mark was 1.3 seconds faster than the 2nd best mark... which belongs to Kipketer as well.
1.5s faster than Borzakovski, the next fastest man indoors.
Truly impressive.
Is this superior than Rudisha's outdoor WR? It's really comparable as both man lead the whole way from the beginning.
Could this be translated to a sub 1:40 outdoor performance?
