Yesterday I won a race and set the course record there with a 17:16. My friend was 2nd in 1830. 3rd was like 20low. My friend got 5:25 at the mile on his garmin so I was about 5:22. Then he faded badly. My pace slowed down cuz its hard to keep the pace on my own. Also it was windy. It was about 65-70 degrees out if that matters.
In a competitive race without wind what could I run? There's a race Labor Day with 10 sub 17 last year so I'm hoping to run there. I think 1640s is a good goal. Thoughts?
