I am 26 and recently met a woman who is 28. We really hit it off and seem to be almost scarily similar in our views on a lot of important stuff. I'm kind of an oddball, so I almost NEVER feel a strong connecting with anyone despite having dated a lot over the last 4 years. Every other girl I've dated has been younger than me except for one back when I was 22.
I'm not planning on marriage or kids with this woman just yet as we've only hung out a few times, though we did talk for nearly three hours on our first date. Of course any of that stuff would be way down the road, but it still has crossed my mind given she is 28. I really didn't want marriage or kids until I was mid 30s, but I also wouldn't bail on a great relationship just because the woman was older than me. If she's 28, however, I would expect she'd want marriage and kids within the next 4 years or so, which kind of scares me.
Obviously most of this stuff just needs to be worked out between me and her over time (if it lasts anyway), but I guess I'd just like to hear from guys with significant others who are older than them and how they think it has worked for them, what their thoughts are. Input?
