I think you're close to correct. I'd adjust your statement to say that this is the cleanest tour in 20 years. Vincenzo Nibali, the pending champ, is probably doping, but the rest of the peloton looks fairly clean. You can see this in the daily chaos in the race. Guys are actually having bad days. It is fun to watch because it is so much less predictable.
I either wanted it to be a Nibali, Froome, Contador battle...or none of the three and let the others duke it out so it was closer.

I don't think a rider needs drugs to win the Tour, or to eclipse the performances of doped riders. However I don't know who is using or not.
