When and why?
When and why?
What's wrong with a guy wearing khakis to a bar?.... or anywhere else? Wearing khakis with a polo shirt (untucked of course) is a neat/clean look. A much better look than jeans and a baseball cap wore like a catcher.
yes, at happy hour after work.
FFS, why do people start stupid effing threads like this? Nobody cares what you wear to a bar you freaking loser.
As long as they ain't pleated, you ok.
People still wear khakis? Tan slacks are okay, but I wouldn't wear khakis anywhere, including a bar.

I think we need more information here. Are you implying that khakis are too casual or too dressed up?
Unless it is a very fancy bar in an expensive, stuffy part of town or a dive in a small, rural town, I'm having trouble thinking of a place where they wouldn't be appropriate.

Jez, SOMEONE must wear khakis to the bar.
yes, if one wishes to garner attention from girls with good taste and class
I have and will again. People where I live don't dress terribly. Almost no guys wear jeans
Yep, that's the problem with society, people not going to church.

Uh... Where do you live? In the past decade I have lived in DC, NYC, London and Charleston, SC and all four cities have plenty of guys wearing jeans in high-end bars and restaurants.
I take no issue with khakis and wear them often.
chinos bruh, chinos

Seriously, when I'm out and see a guy of any age wearing a baseball cap backwards it's like- instant loser.
That wasn't in style when it was in style.

It is usually a guy who is balding. I always kind of feel sorry for them. I had a buddy who started balding pretty early, like early twenties. He used to wear a backwards hat and finally I just told him that he needed to embrace his baldness and own it. He did, got a close crew cut and looks great.
He just got married earlier this year. Hot wife and he is doing well at work. I take total credit for all of it.
