I've read The Game and some other books and have about 5 years of experience. I feel like I'm really good at approaching and talking to women, but I'm always looking to up my game also. Is David DeAngelo worth reading if I'm already a solid PUA?

"Game" doesn't matter. Just try your best to be good-looking. I'm trying myself.
David DeAngelo is a shameless self promoter.
Stop worrying about "upping your game." Stop worrying about the amount of phone numbers you can get. Stop worrying about the # of women you screw.
Stop trying to be a "PUA". The whole idea is creepy and most "PUA" are really weird and obsessed with their "game".

Who said anything about quantity or screwing tons of women? Shows how much you know about PUA.

It makes a significant difference. Looks, like any other attractive attribute (status, money, social intuition, etc.) I don't know why you try so hard to deny this.
Good at what I do wrote:

A friend left all his DYD stuff at my house, and it is solid learning and reminders if you already have figured it out.
The two most important tips, just open your mouth and be entertaining, funny, genuine.
And memorize this line: "You want to get out of here...?"
BTW, there are women who've read all the PUA stuff to know when game is being run on them.

You have this completely wrong. DeAngelo is a classy presenter of solid information. Before that Ross Jeffries was selling stuff that didn't work.
The tools of PUA are benign. You can use them to be a great guy meeting the woman of your dreams and treating her right. Or you can use them to get a lot of strange or be a d., the choice is yours, but the tools themselves are benign.
Do Mystery and others make some PUA's look like douches?
Absolutely.
For unlearned good guys, a lot of those tools help them stop being wall flowers.
Generally speaking girls/women are not going to approach you and speak first. They still expect that male/the man to do it.
Learning how to be funny and entertain women...and still be a good guy and treat a woman nicely and with class...is still totally possible using PUA tools. (There are some you might want to edit out, but by and large it's all teasing and flirting, and if you are honest, there's no harm.)
Spot on with everything. PUA changed my life. It not only helped me become better at talking to women, it made me a better man, a better person. It always irritates me when people assume it's all about "tricking" women to sleep with you.
This explains a lot. A Duck needs help to get women. QFE.
The key thing is that women wait for the guy. The guy always moves the relationship forward. No matter how many guys she's been with. And the woman isn't always obvious. She may have slept with dozens of guys, but she still will act demure because that is what makes a woman attractive. You usually want to get her to your place and have sex with her. But you have to do it in a classy and not obvious way and in a way that doesn't make her feel easy.
Don't do pick up lines. Just ask normal questions about her life and interests. Don't act desperate or weird. Don't be too nice. Don't give flowers on a first date.
Being shy doesn't get girls. Shy guys need to work at getting girls or else they'll end up in their twenties and all of the women will have much more experience and the guy will feel inadequate.
The thing that people who dismiss PUA don't understand is that shy guys will really not understand how things work. They'll just think that all along women weren't interested, but in fact they may have been interested but he just didn't try.

This is the second Oregon Alum I've known to have read The Game. It's a book written by and for people who have very strange ideas about women.
a duck is a moron with no life. that explains a lot
DeAngelo is getting a bit outdated, so sure, read it, but there is much newer stuff from lesser known guys that is better in my opinion. Mark Manson book, Tyler D YouTube videos, Love Systems instructors come to mind.
Here's your free lesson for the day. Want to start a relationship (be it long term or a one night stand) with a woman? Do two things:
1) Be confident
2) Be interesting
If you're comfortable with who you are, your confidence will show. Looks, money, job, etc. are all secondary to confidence. Confidence will let you approach women, but being interesting will keep you talking with them. If the most interesting things you did today were going for a run then check out Letsrun, you might have some work to do.
Using prepackaged lines ("You want to get out of here?" Really?) is lame. Trying to act like a PUA is lame. Believing that all women will fall for the same "system" is ultra lame. This is the corniest advice ever, but just be yourself. And if you aren't confident or interesting, work on yourself before doing anything else.
Not being able to read (like you apparently) is usually a pretty big turnoff to women. You have no understanding of what PUA is or how people use it, nor did you apparently even understand my first post.

In your first post you talked about how good you are at talking to women and asked how you can up your game.
Newsflash: talking to other human beings isn't a game. And acting like talking to women is some sort of accomplishment is pathetic. Want to know how to talk to women? I would recommend opening your mouth and using your vocal chords, but that's just me.
I think you might need to ask yourself why you need to read books and follow systems in order to help you talk to other people.
You said it...PUA is the domain of closet cases trying to be as "manly" as possible to crush their real urges...

I love how A Duck knows a little bit about everything. And knows lots of important people.
2006 just called and wants it's furry tophat, mascara and goggles back.
Hahahahaha. This is so pathetic. Do you guys really do this kind of thing?
OMG this is pathetic beyond reason.
