first off, keeping to the point: another impressive race for barton--almost the equivalent of what he did in san diego, but this time without a rabbit. each race alone is an outstanding effort; the fact that he did this only a little more than a week apart is harder than most people know, unless you're one of us old dudes...
and, before someone accuses me of self-promotion again: no, i do not post under anonymous names; no, i will not destroy that record (not too interested in single year age group records); and a big NO NO NO on the "barely any training"--i worked my ass off for my 3:55 (60-80 mile weeks, some fast track work, regular tempo runs and 14 milers), and it hurt so much (wasn't quite as dazed as brad in the san diego video, but i could barely summon the energy to cool down) that i'm not sure i'll run another competitive 1500 until i'm 50!
