Where would a list be found? I'm interested in how the record progressed over the years.

Nick broke his own record today. His previous mark was from 2012. Prior to that, John Walker had held the record since 1975 with 3:32.4. I've got no info prior to that.
Now we just need Nick to knock the 3000m NR into the realm of respectability.
Hey, thanks.
Here is what I could find through searching the All-Time Athletics list:
3:29.91 Nick Willis NZL Monaco 18.07.2014
3:30.35 Nick Willis NZL Monaco 20.07.2012
3:31.79 Nick Willis NZL Monaco 22.07.2011
3:32.17 Nick Willis NZL Saint-Denis 08.07.2006
3:32.38 Nick Willis NZL Saint-Denis 01.07.2005
3:32.4 John Walker NZL Oslo 30.07.1975
3:32.52 John Walker NZL Christchurch 02.02.1974
3:37.3 Rod Dixon NZL Oslo 24.07.1973
3:37.46 Rod Dixon NZL München 10.09.1972
3:37.6+ Peter Snell NZL Auckland 17.11.1964
+=intermediate time in 1 Mile race (official, unofficial or estimates)
All well-known names. I'm not sure if Snell's time was ratified or not.

7:36.91 is respectable.
he has the speed to run 7:30 and 13:00 irrespective of what Ventoline^1/3 says.

7:36 is a decent time for a B level pro, but not as a National Record. It needs to be brought down to at least 7:31 to be respectable as our NR.
