I was at a party last night in the woods, around a bonfire. Apparently, the party was on private land and we were trespassing. Anyway, like any normal person, I ran when the police showed up. I got away, but I rolled my ankle really bad and it swelled up to the size of a peach when I took my shoe off. I'm worried that it might be broken, but I can't tell my parents how it happened, or they'll punish me for being at a party. What should I do? Should I pretend to go out for a run today and then tell my parents I twisted my ankle on today's run? They are both at work right now so I could just lie to them. They were asleep when I got home last night and don't know I was at a party. Please help.
Also, how will this effect my training? I ran 4:32 this spring and am going into my senior year. I have been training at 65 miles per week but am afraid I will miss a bit of time with my ankle. How long can I expect to be out if it's broken?
