Here's what happened in the MLS over the weekend
* 4 of the top 5 teams (DC, KC, Toronto, NY) in the Eastern Conference picked up wins while New England fell to Chicago
* The Western Conference leaders had more mixed results, with Seattle winning, Colorado drawing, and Vancouver and Salt Lake losing. Dallas did not play.
Golden boot: Bradley Wright-Phillips (NYC) picked up a goal and Dom Dwyer (KC) 2 goals to further establish themselves as favorite to win this year's golden boot award.
Playoff picture: With 12 weeks remaining and their stars Dempsey and Yedelin returned, Seattle looks poised to win their first supporter's shield with a 7 point advantage currently over DC United. While those squads look like safe bets to make the playoffs, most spots are still wide open with close points in the 3rd - 7th places in both conferences currently.
