Has anyone tried these new lighter Hokas? I am curious which one has a ride closer to the Hoka Bondi (my "go to" long run shoe). I am not a fan of the Conquest (not as plush as the Bondi).

The Clifton is 7.9 ounces for Men's size 9, so I doubt its very plush and it's not out yet as far as I know.
I think they're officially released on August 1st, so you won't get many responses. Of course, some reviewers have gotten pairs early. You can find their reviews on the web using this nifty, new-fangled thing I think they're calling "Goggle" or something. You should try it.

probably the clifton, i believe the clifton is using the same softer eva foam as the bondi, while the huaka is using rmat, the stuff used in the conquest.
I now have both models. I haven't run in them much yet, but my early impression is that the Clifton has a cushier ride and is more like a lightweight Bondi, as well as being more flexible than the Conquest. The Huaka is super-comfortable too -- not quite as cushy/soft (but still more than a regular shoe) -- and is also flexible (unlike the Conquest). The Huaka seems better for speed (to me) than the Clifton, but I think I'm going to like running in both pairs. (Note: I tried and returned the Conquest -- I liked the feel of it, but it was too stiff for me -- the lack of flexibility made my hamstring hurt.)
i got a pair of the huakas. i think they're as close to a shoe i could wear every single day as anything out there. they actually have a pretty firm feel to them due to the rmat foam, combined with the rocker shape they really like to turn over quickly. still lots of protection from the road or trail, which they seemed to grip great on. feel a lot like a kinvara to me with a little extra weight and cushion, they have a nice flexible upper (and midsole) with a fairly similar fit to the kinvara 4, but plenty of cushion for any longer distance. they could become the only shoe i use for everything aside from really technical trail climbs and track work.
