I'm starting back training from a 2nd metatarsal stress fracture and I'm wondering if ya'll prefer the Nike Zoom Structure 17 or Vomero 9. Vomero has more cushion but Structure has more stability. thoughts

You need to talk to someone who knows what they are talking about. Those are two drastically different shoes and they wouldn't both work for you. Have someone look at your stride. They'll tell you which one is better. Both are excellent shoes, if they are used by the right person.

yep. I second that
i 3rd it! shoes designed for different arch types and biomechanics. go to a running specialty store. if youre in the wrong one its likely to put lots of stress where that stressy was which you obviously dont want.
I've had both
Get the structure
Vomero isn't supportive
I just went through this last month. I had surgeries to stabilize 2 complete metatarsal breaks. I had been using the structure series for years, but every newer model seemed to have less and less cushioning, and although my fractures are completely healed, I just couldn't get comfortable with the Structure 17. My Structure 15's with 500 miles on them were more supportive and comfortable than the brand new 17's. After 2 weeks of misery, I tried the Vomero 9's and have been much happier. They do not have as much support, but I use custom orthotics that take care of most of those issues. I seem to need cushioning over support and the Vomero's were much better than the 17's.

Please ignore clowns like this. Foot type and biomechanics are very individualized. Go to a store. /Thread
