A HS kid running 10 flat in a non final is really impressive. US sprint future looks bright with he and Bromell.

Yep, both 100m HSR went down today.
Mens: 10.00 for Trentavis Friday NC (old record was 10.01)
Womens: 11.10 for Kaylin Whitney FL (old record was 11.11)
This is why there should be a way to over rule to send athletes to worlds. The guy breaks HS national record and is #2 all time world junior, but will not represent USA at worlds in the 100.
Scary part, the 200 is his better event. So tomorrow should be fun.
BOTH US SPRINT 100m HSR went down today.

CRAZY!
The wind was legal, so that's a new HSR, yes...that is, if you ask T&FN. But if USA Juniors are not certified by NFHS (and I don't know the answer to that but maybe somebody here does), then it's not one of their "official" records, just like Mary Cain's aren't.
Keep in mind that Bromell ran 10.08. Just because Trentavis ran 10.00 in the semis, it doesn't mean he's going to win Juniors.
Also remember J-Mee Samuels. He ran an "otherworldly" 10.06 I think about 10 years ago in high school. Claimed that he regularly benched 360 and squatted 540, also in high school. Never accomplished much of anything else after that. Just like the XC kids that run 100+ mpw chasing scholarships, sprinters that push themselves too hard when they're not ready yet can mortgage their future. When he was the age of Trentavis, Maurice Greene ran 10.43 in high school. So we'll see later if 10.00 is too fast for his body at present or not.

Hard to say to a guy who ran 10.2x he has to give up his spot. He has a real legit chance to medal at Worlds himself. It's not like we would be replacing a guy who has zero chance to get out of his heat.
In 2012 10.54 made it into the finals by right and 10.43 by little q and a 10.28 in the final took the Bronze.
FOR the love of IGF-1 LR3 !!!!!!

IGF-1 LR3
I LOVE MY IGF-1 LR3 .
THE YOUNGER YOU USE ,THE FASTER YOU GO .
BOLT WOULD NEVER OF RAN THE TIMES HE DID
WITHOUT THIS PEPETIDE.
HIGH HURLDERS can benefit the most from this
any other 19 year old US hurdlers
THAT INCREASED CADENCE really helps between hurdles.
And he qualified for the 200 final in 20.39.
J-mee looked to have had some assistance in high school and he pushed really hard early on, running sub 21 as a freshmen, a 6.74 as a 15 year old, a 10.49 at arcadia as a soph. then he was suspended from his school team his junior year but ran a 10.25 at AAU nats and then he broke the HSR his senior year. then at Arkansas he hurt his hamstring his freshmen year at SEC's and then hurt it again at junior nats and never really lived up to his potental, didn't break 10, although he did make a weak world championships squad in 2007.
trentativs friday was hurt his sopohmore year and only managed a 48 flat at the state meet for his small school team and then dropped some good times last season and this indoor and early outdoor season. But i'll admit i didn't think he was going to run this fast at junior nationals. Friday has been in the sport a long time (he was an all american at AAU in 100,200,400 in the sub bantam division), but it doesn't look like anyone has really rushed his development ala bryce love(who is mainly a football player so who cares that he hasn't lived up to his early track times) or some other obvious examples.
Too bad about the FS in the 100m final. The younger guys should be cut a break.
And I wonder what Bromell is going to have left after a hard NCAA season.
He's older than Brommel, despite being a high school senior.
20.03 wind assisted
and...20.04
Friday can get $250k for next 7 years at bare minimum if he decides to turn pro now and skip college ala Allyson Felix.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
