Denver runner I know his name is kennisa. (Okay=Eshe) You missed my point. I think you should reread what I post last time (TAKE YOUR TIME). I have the utmost respect for all Ethiopian runners. Growing up in Addis, I saw these athletes running up the hill of enttoto early morning @ 4 a.m. while the whole city is snoring. I know who Bikila is and I may forget my name not his name. I think u read my reply to usher who thinks Geb is using EPO ?Maybe there is no proof that Geb has taken EPO, but he hasn't run 12:39 or 26:22 since EPO testing began. I would hope not but I'm not so naive as to say I'm positive he wasn't. Geb's coach/agent is Jos Hermans. If it lookslike a duck, quacks like a duck, walks like a duck.......? My response was for the above four OR fIVE lines. Next time I will try to stick to the facts as long as you take your time. When you go for the Grate Ethiopian Run to Addis ask your friends what? ZIMETA WORK NEW? MEANS. |

It is becoming all common for individuals (who simply assume or have a hunch-without a clue) that athletes** are on performing enhancing drugs. The comment Zico made about Geb not running 12:39 and 26:22 since EPO testing is absolutely stupid, EPO testing have nothing to do with that fact. Those times are Geb personal best-which also happen to be World Records-and every athlete have a limit to how fast they can run. The truth of the matter is that maybe Geb will improve on his personal best; however, if he doesn't I guess those were his limits. Vipam NOW I KNOW MOST POSTERS ON THIS BOARD ARE INTELLIGENT AND NOT RACIST; however, why is there far more black/african athletes that are accused of drugs than white/european athletes. The following black/african athletes are routinely accused of drugs despite never testing positive: Maurice Green Regina Jacobs Haile Gebresslaise Khalid Khannouchi Joaquim Cruz Flo Griffith-Joyner etc Now the only white/european athletes who sparingly recieve negative post are convicted cheats: Olga Yegorova (Rus) Mary Slaney- and most still support/admire her. I enjoy this site tremendously but I am appauld by the clouded judgement of SOME posters and the lack of thought/fairness with when issuing out negative accusations Vipam |

Gotta agree with Vipam on this one. Especially when you look at how "accepted" it is that sprinters dope, who are the sprinters, but then of course there are clean distance runners, right. I think we should stop throwing doping accusations around since it seems we have no real evidence other than idle speculation. |

I don?t know where you find that posting in my nick. Haile is more than long distance runner for his country. He cares for his people and country. tries to improve the life of his ppl. I know how these runners are dedicated and they work hard. I saw these runners early morning in Addis Ababa running up the hill of mount Entoto. Thye are the pride of their country. Nice try at spelling "appalled." And to answer your question - Because very rarely does a white athlete dominate an event, break world records, then when testing rolls around is either a no-show or 'sick.' And we whiteys make fun of Dieter Baumann all the time....and Lyle Alzado....and Mark McGwire....etc, etc. Think a little more broadly, rather than just in distance running, because the people getting accused are going to be the ones dominating - which is usually an african. |

The Man You listed one white/european person in track and field, while I listed several. The thing is the one person you listed was a convicted cheat and the ones I listed are just falsely accused. When you can come up with 4 white/european that accused as much as the American/Africans I listed then you may have a point! By the way read my post on your thread you started today. There are quite a few Ethopians who are trying to get the Worlds rearranged in hopes of doubling. The most successful it the meet stays the same are the men's 1500/5000m. It would be nice to see men and women attempting a 5000m/10000m double or 800m/1500m double. Justsomeinfo |

No, I didn't read that but it will be safe to say he might run the 5000 meters just because Haile is running the 10000 meters at the world championships. Hey just because you are a huge Haile/Bekele fan I can get you his autograph when the Ethiopian Runners come to run the Bolder Boulder race at the end May. |
