Do i also have to teach you how to spell amharic. wey yededeb neger. its "enateh tebeda or enatehen lebdat or enatehen lasbedat,...". If you start a sentance with "Lemehonu..." then it has to end with ?. but Lemehonu doesn't go well with the sentance you were trying to build. I think you wanted to use: "Degmo". but don't worry i have corrected your mistakes,as always, and understood what you wanted to write. derom yededeb neger be amargna enkuan hasbun betkekel metsaf aychelem. another reason for you to stop posting your comments here. what you think and post here stinks more than your boti afe! For your info I am not Er+ and this is my last post. I won't even bother to check for your replay. I know you well to know what you will be writting. If you have some tiny little thinking part in that stinking brain of yours, think twice before you post again."I WON'T BE CHECKING ON THIS THREAD AGAIN". Argue don't brag.and stop using hate langauge. setaset! |

Bekele bemoans Laureus absence 28 April 2006- Ethiopia's double world and one-time 10000m champion Kenenisa Bekele says his absence from the list of nominees for the 2006 Laureus Awards "defies logic". "I am not aware of the exact criteria they used," he said in a telephone interview from his training base in Addis Ababa. "But if you see my results, few sports people have the same results and performance that I have showed. I feel the criterion, whatever it is, is not right." In Bekele's absence, the awards for the 'Sportsman of the Year' will be contested among Brazilian soccer star Ronaldinho; Switzerland double-major winning Tennis star Roger Federer, Golfing sensation Tiger Woods, American cyclist and 8-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, Italian MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi, and Spanish Formula I champion Fernando Alonso. |

Kenenisa Bekele: No WR attempts this summer Exclusive by Elshadai Negash 28 April 2006- Ethiopia's double world and one-time 10000m champion Kenenisa Bekele will not attempt to lower either his 5000m or 10000m record in this summer's track season. In an exclusive telephone interview he gave to ethiopiarun.org on Thursday, the 23-year old said attempting a world record would be too much strain on his body. "It is difficult to attempt to break world records every year," said the five-time world cross country double champion. "This year, I am planning to run in the entire golden league series and will therefore not be planning any world record attempts." Bekele added that he was not certain of his other plans for the season which now looks set to start on June 2 when he runs the first leg of the IAAF Golden League series in Oslo, Norway. That could mean Bekele will again miss the Ethiopian championships for a second consecutive year, a possible indication that he could be opting out of contention for a place in Ethiopia's squad for the African Championships in Mauritius the coming June. The biennial championship is a selection meet to pick Africa's representatives for the 10th IAAF World Cup to be held in Athens, Greece in September. But asked about any plans to compete in Athens, Bekele admitted that he was not aware of the existence of the competition itself. "I do not even know this competition," he admitted. "I have been talking with my manager [Jos Hermens] about my season's plans, but this competition has never come up in our discussion." |

Mesfin sorry I didn't catch this posting until now but I remember the results (I think it was Martin Mathathi and Lucy Wangui) who won those races. The two are young Kenyans who are better performers at the 10000m (a few years back I thought Marin would be first junior under 27 minute but he never took but one serious crack at the barrier). The two have great futures ahead of them but they will either have to improve their stamina to the point to break their competition or improve their kicks substantially. They are young and talented and have a few chances at medals in World and Olympics. --------- I don't understand why people are stating that Tariku Bekele is being better than Kenenisa Bekele at the same age...? Unless Tariku win a world junior title (Kenenisa placed 9th at age 16, won silver in 5000m Outdoor World Jr., won Junior X-Country GOLD at 18 and Silver in Senior men Short Course), at age 19 became first to win SENIOR long and short course-he turned 20 later that year.) I don't see how Tariku is considered better than Kenenisa by posters and he has still yet to run faster than 7:30.67 Kenenisa former WJR! Tariku is no Kenenisa, sorry. |
