Some poster get the idea when I make a prediction that I guarantee it; however, it that the case it wouldn't be a prediction it would be foreseeing the future (I'm not Mrs. Cleo's husband). I'm glad I make some individuals happy when I'm off or DEAD WRONG as one stated. I know Haile didn't have great pacemakers in all his world record attempts but Kenenisa hasn't had one good pacemaking job for any of his outdoor World Records or attempts. There are upcoming athletes that will change that and the world records for both the 5000m and 10000m will be broken a few more times before 17-22 yr old group of athletes retire from athletics. |

It's funny how in one sentence you admit it is a prediction and then in your next paragraph you say "there are athletes who will soon do this" as though it is ironclad. Haile and Bekele got the same pace in their 5,000m WR's; both were taken through in 5:05 for 2,000 meters. In the 26:22, Geb had good pace in Mezgebu whereas Bekele had the excellent Keino until about 4km. |

The point is this, I believe Bekele will break the 10k world record this year (2005) at the during the summer. |

If he didn't do it in Hengelo, he probably won't at all. The only other 10K is in Brussels, and he has never run in that meet. |

the second placer finisher at the USATF meet Meb Keflezighi said he or Abdi will win World Championships. I hope he was misquoted otherwise he have a head injury. Open Men's 10km, final: Meb Keflezighi, Nike, second place, 28:10.57. quote from USATF- Meb: "I felt fine. You have to put it into perspective. This is my first track since last Trials. I thought I could beat Abdi. At the end of the day, he won it, but we're friends. We're good friends, we warm up together, talk together. I'm just glad both of us are going, and going to win it (World Championships)." |

Gotta work on the grammer, though, buddy. |

That was very funny! Again, it looks like the whole 10K running world seemed to resigne to Ethiopians on a 1-2-3 sweep. Boy, that is a tough one! |

LISTEN posters we really have a sick individual on this site, he apparently bumping my threads just to start his sick kicks. The moderators have the ability to check where the posts originate from and could very easily show I'm not bumping my threads. Sticking to the thread title: Kenenisa Bekele is gunning for the world record at the first Golden League meet in July-ANY thoughts on his time? |

I don't think Bekele can go under 3:26. I predict he falls short and runs 3:27.12. Oh right, you didn't tell us what event he's running. |

Kenenisa will be running the 5000m and following that outing he is slated for a 3000m race at the next Golden League meeting. |
