I don't think I've ever watched a race where runners were running at the same pace, but it looked so apparent that they couldn't be. Like an illusion. His stride looked so short and he was just chopping, adjusting his shirt, wiping his face, waiting, waiting. Yet a couple of those guys were totally striding out, working hard, and he's tripping up on them. It was strange looking.
And yeah, he has a KICK!
If his progression continues, he's going to be insane.
Edward is the first Duck to adjust his shirt so much since me. (I got a lot of crap for that from my high school coach, so I totally noticed The King doing during race, made me laugh.)
The real question is who will he run for in Olympic/world championships? come on 'MERICA!
I really wonder what LV is thinking. He would always beat Ches, at every distance. And Ches could now be his training partner.
Instead, he nearly died doing Tri training. He feel for him. He quit on running too quickly (though I understand where he was coming from, the decision was too rash).
(OTOH, if he stayed at Oregon, and Ches was now routinely whipping his butt, maybe he would grow frustrated and go back to Tri's. But at least that would mean that he gave running full time a couple years. )

People really still debate over his age? Who cares if he's a year or two older anymore? Those other 3 guys in that pack tonight were all seniors. Actually, someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe they were all actually 5th year seniors.
I've seen Cheserek up close in person and he honestly looks like a college freshman or sophomore.
I think that we are in violent agreement.
oh wow
You are right. Verzbicas beat Cheserek routinely, although that was when the latter never showed anything approaching this kind of incredible closing speed. A 3:36 already and these 24/25 200m finishes! He has shown the capacity to eventually contend for global championships. The last NCAA runner that I can remember to finish races even close to this speed was Wheating in a high 3:30s 1500m where he finished in 25, and then when he finally got into a Euro 1500m he ran 3:30 the first time out.

This thread is about Cheserek, not you.
