Went out in sub 8:00 pace and he was the one responsible for the pack following the pacemaker.
Well done, Evan.
Pure balls
I like that the water barrier had little plants under it.
Agree-ballsy run. Cost him the AR, by a fraction, but on a windy day--awesome effort
this really makes my day. look for 8.03 in his next shot at the distance.
Where was Huling?
great time, terrific guts, and just think what he can run with some 7:50s guys in shape to go sub 8 and when he is himself in 13 flat or better 5k shape.
That run was not Rupp certified.
There's a good reason why I call him "The Natural."
That run was maybe 10% training, 7% ability and 83% BALLS!
Huling ran 8:15, solid after a 8:17 from Oxy and he looked super fit pacing the 5k at Payton Jordan... And for Jager this is a rustbust steeple, he will get 8:03.xx for his next steeple then 7:59-8:01 for his 3rd (mayeb Monaco), but will def break 8 in the future... I think he will run the 5k at Brussels again this year, and he could break 13 and be with Rupp with a lap to go like last year...

I think that this race was a tribute to Emma. Should be, anyway.

All pro runners should take note of this performance, he doesn't let the pace lag he ran with guts and balls and even though there was no sub 8 or American record he went for it and ran a great race. American track fans appreciate when people run this way.
A for Jager. Top American distance performance of the meet. B for Rupp. Tactical race but no kick. C for Centro. Despite 5k pr, he still can't hang with a fast early pace. Similar result to Pre race, but slower. D for Martinez. Tired off her Hengelo win.
All the distance boyz went for it. Why fly all the way to Norway to dick around?
