There's a "LIVE" thread going on the FBK Meeting :)
I like my own thread:)
Better than PRE obviously but that's not too hard. Still, 3rd place in a slow race with a kick most likely is not the old Lagat, or really even the Lagat from this past indoor season.
Maybe he's sharpening into a later season form, but it seems like age is finally starting to catch up.

Wow!
I think that every year, but then he wows us, like last year when he ran 12:58 in Brussels after dropping out in Monaco and not medalling in Moscow
Passive aggressive smiley :)

The man is sage like. He is in shape to run fast when it counts. Whereas some guys like Rupp try to run fast all the time.
that sucks

Moscow didn't count??
in indoors this year, didnt lagat run 7:41ish for 3rd place in february? then he came back to get 2nd in the 3k at world indoors

It was 7:5x and in both cases he beat some good runners and was in one second of the win.
The time means nothing, Lagat isn't done until he says he's done.

I would hardly call that a "come back," he still beat some very good runners in that February 3k and the ones who beat him were also very good. He was fine all along.
He's going to blow apart the M40-44 WRs next year.
But he's not a real american.
probably quitting after this season. Doesn't want to be a veteran.
I don't think it matters what Rupp runs in Oslo, he could break Lagat's US record, but I still favor Lagat at Nationals 5000. He's just too good at getting this done.

Like in 2007 when he run mediocre on the circuit then disappears to Spain to train for a few weeks and poof! - he beats a doped up ramzi and a slew of others in osaka.
