Another solid result. I'm glad he decided to hop in some races. Hopefully he can put together a good fall marathon.

Destroyed Meb and his 1:30:xx take that!
Didn't even crack top 10.... But glad he's racing
62.51 is not bad.
It is an ok time. I think it is good for him to race more. I would like to see him run more halfs.
I would like to see more Americans try for fast halfs
hate to be THAT GUY
but 62:51 is not a good result from him.
i don't know the course...but guys ran 60:10 today.
about 2:10:30 shape, solid.

Terrible result, in fact.
That is not even PR marathon pace. For a half.
How could anyone call this "solid"?
It bodes well. Honestly, I have mocked the guy before but I'm glad to see him racing. A 1:02:5x is no joke...

At least he beat Rita Jeptoo by more than a minute this time. That's improvement.
That's a FAST course. Got whooped by Gabe Proctor and Shadrack Biwott by over a minute. The dude needs to go back to Cali and train.
He's at an early stage in his preparation for a fall marathon, so I have no problem at all with this time. Sub 1:03 is quite good for him at this stage and he hasn't run much faster in years even close to a marathon, has he?
Well would you look at that—Hall starts racing frequently again and now he's running better! All runners take note—holing yourself up and training, not racing until you're in "peak shape" is not a recipe for success!
It seems that he last ran faster than this for a half in 2011 and last broke 1:02 in 2009 unless something's missing below. So, this is a good effort and if he can get back in 60 shape by the fall, he should be ready for a great marathon again.
Here's what's on usatf's website on Hall:

Solid tempo, bro!
big improvement over his 2:17 at Boston. He's headed in the right direction. Maybe by 2015 he'll be back to his old self. The injury plagued 2012/2013 really set him back. A 2:04:58 guy being reduced to 2:17 is not a pretty sight, but he's getting better every day.
The course has a lot of turns and small rolling hills, but a net 260' elevation drop.
Hall is transitioning to speedwork for the first time in years. Give him a chance. No fall marathon, but learning how to run faster again in training rather than just marathon work. Sounds like a good decision to me.
He is off the PEDs for good and he's now collecting appearance fees until they realize he sucks now.
