Morgan Uceny ran 2:00.29 at last night's New Balance Boston Twilight Meet. Video will be up on Flotrack at some point but she looked very good.
Is that a pr for her?

The IAAF has a useful page for most international-level athletes. Here's Morgan's:

And she didn't fall either!
Did she really run that solo?

Negative, she had a few guys pacing her. It was technically a mixed race (but she was the only woman). So I don't know if it really counts from an IAAF perspective or not, but it shows she is in good shape right now.
Great to see her making progress. From talking to people, I'vce heard that the workouts have been going pretty well, they were just looking for a strong race result.
A low-key meet like this was perfect for her as the DL is so fast right now, unless you are in 4:02 shape, you are finishing way back.
Case in point, Zoe Buckman, who was 7th at Worlds last year, ran a 4:04 pb at Pre last night and was just 9th in the race.
Uceny's race in Shanghai reminded me a bit of Haney's at Pre yesterday. The pace is just too hot. It's hard to run 404-405 when people are going out in 3:58 pace. It's hard to run 4:00 when people go out in 3:55 pace.

This is so much easier.
We got some more info on Morgan's run from an LRC visitor who was that meet:

Don't know if you looked at any of the results from last night's New Balance Twilight meet at Bentley, but Morgan Uceny ran a 2:00.29 in the 800; I got her first 400 in 58.65.
She looked pretty smooth, running in a heat with men.
She also pulled Anna Willard through about 1000 meters of her 1500.
I was at the meet with my daughter who was running.
Good meet for her as she had a slight PB in the 800 and a few other male teammates had PB in the 800, 1500 and 3k.
Keep up the good work.
So did she have male pacers?
Is this legal for marks to count for IAAF standards?
The NCAA allows for mixed gender but only for 10k.
very solid result. She's clearly part of the way back and I hope that she makes it all the way back mentally and physically. She was the best in the world for awhile at 1500m.

Testosterone all the way!
I was at Twilight: Morgan ran the third section of the men's 800 and would have been more accurately listed as third in section #3 of the men's results or so noted in the women's results rather than as section #1 of the women's competition that she really wasn't in. Somehow meet management wants to tell everyone who looks, who ran the fastest woman's 800 of the day. She was not, however, paced by the men, but raced them.
But not to be critical of anyone, the meet volunteers or Morgan, she was in a section with athletes of similar speed to test her fitness as were most of the athletes in this excellent meet.
The time should not count for any qualification or list, but that did not seem to be her intention.
Tom
Saw in the women's 3K one Anika Gompers was 10:10 any relation to Paul?
Yes, daughter.

4:19 is a truly dreadful result for Willard if she was really being paced through 1000. I thought it was a tactical race from the results. What happened to her. Not sure I know the story.

Haven't been able to find many details. As of 2012, she was putting up good performances. Then last year, she flew out to Oregon for Pre, but withdrew last minute with an undisclosed injury that kept her out for the rest of the year.
