Started a thread about Dolan Owens, a very talented 7th grader, a few weeks ago. Well, he's still at it. He qualified for the South Carolina AAA state meet in both the 1600 (4:31.3) and 800 (2:00.9) competing against mostly juniors and seniors.

Neither of these times is a PR for him, as he has run a couple other 800 races in the 2:00.xx range and ran a 4:30.xx for the full mile. From comments on the other thread, he seems to be a pretty raw talent who is new to running. A poster claiming to be his dad said he's a good baseball player and turned 13 just this past February. Since he is so young, I truly hope he continues having fun playing and competing in multiple sports. But man, what a talent!
