I'm confused...isn't calling someone a "sissy" more akin to calling them a girl? Not sure how this is a gay thing.

I have heard the word "sissy" used to describe gay men, so I'm assuming that is where the complaint comes from.

The "Q" stands for "questioning."

I just looked it up and some of the groups say the Q can stand for "queer" but others use "questioning" and some use both.

I guess they are kind of confused.

Ya I'm all for tolerance and understanding. Seems it is getting out of hand, and as a Gay male, the last thing I want is to have some kind of backlash because of things like this. How bout we focus on the big issues, and leave this unimportant crap alone.
