She was a very good runner, but she's a better triathlete, and she loves it.
What do you think see could run for a 5000 or 10000m on the track.
In a super sprint triathlon she ran the same time as sven rieder. And faster then all then men from here team.
Split 31:50 or something in a triathlon 10k, don't know if it is the correct distance.
In the same race the fastest men ran 29:05 or so.
and 15:31 in a sprint thriathlon.
Possible for here too run 31;40 or so in a legal 10k?
15:10 or so for 5000m.
Is this course certified? That's a really fast 10K time for a female triathlete.
it's uncommon for the elite men in a fast race to run 29 low in the 10k.
Alistair, the olympic champ, ran a 10k at stanford in 2013 in 28:32 and nearly won the 2nd heat, and he was coming off a break and only had 6 weeks of training going into it. Fully fit and at his peak, Alistair could run sub 28 10k on the track.
If Gwen has run as fast as 3150 in a triathlon split as another poster said, I'd say in peak tip top shape she runs sub 31 in the 30:45-30:55 range.
Those (projected) times aren't going to get her anything done on the track internationally. Same with Alistair. They're better triathletes than runners.
Now a days, a good triathlete has to be very well rounded. They have to be elite or sub-elite in the 3 different sports and then combine all 3 back to back to back. It's not easy. These guys are the real deal. Alistair says he trains 25-35 hours a week depending on the time of the year
This was they result the guy above must be talking about.
15:31 5k, second fastest 16:18
http://wts.triathlon.org/results/result/2013_itu_world_triathlon_hamburg/259643also in 2012 auckland final she ran 30 sec faster then everyone else.
2010 university WC 31:35 vs 33:55 second fastest time.
She has too got some amazing running in here.
If she dit run 31:50, something that isn't impossible when you can draft in a group and then hammer the run.
I could see here get down towards 15:00 and 31:00 probably.
With Alistair in the 28:00 region or atleast very close.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
