Daniels says that if you have a mid-week track meet, you should drop the R workout for the week. But if I have guys doing the 1600/3200 double in a meet, isn't that more akin to an I workout? They're getting 2 miles at I pace and another mile a bit faster. It seems like I should keep the R workout and drop the I workout in the remainder of the week. Any thoughts or experiences with this?
