Don't be a hypocrite, you either use drugs, or you don't. Alcohol is Intro to Drugs 101, stop it with all the rhetoric politicians and interested persons claim.

I'm with you. I've never had a drink, so have managed to avoid all other recreational drugs.

I hear fart sniffing leads to some crazy stuff.
Gateway to awesome times.
Isn't caffeine more of a gateway drug?
Smarties and M&M's are the most addictive from my experience.
Caffeine is more of a drug. Alcohol is a substance.
There's no such thing as a gateway. The term was invented by the prohibitionists. As you can see, like any invented term, it will be abused. Now everything can be considered a gateway for something. Fruits and vegetables can be considered a gateway.
A persons brain decides what gates it wants to open. Nothing else.
I think pot got dubbed "the gateway drug" was that it was so harmless relative to other drugs, but is usually the first illegal drug that thrill-seeking youth will try. It was a weak logical argument, because causation is difficult to prove, and perhaps not plausible.
The term gateway drug makes less sense with alcohol because it's so much more harmful than many of the drugs that it "leads" to.
