If I start my base training for college XC in the fall around the middle of may, when and how often should I start incorporating "Tempo Runs" into my routine.
And what type of tempo runs? Shorter faster ones (20min), medium ones or slightly slower longer ones (40-60min)?
I already have an idea of what I'd like to do, but it would be nice to hear from others in case I need to make a tweak here or there.
