I'm interested in LR's view on post-workout recovery and what you guys useful vs. hype. Some examples: chocolate milk, foam roller, stretching (static vs. dynamic), ice baths, protein shakes. All views appreciated.

Can't go wrong with a protein bar or shake. The body needs protein, carbohydrates and fluids post-run so I have chocolate flavor 'weight gain' powder. (I do a half scoop = 30g carbs & 15g protein) mixed in a big class of milk.
Ice baths and long elaborate stretch routines post run are overrated. A short stretch of the calf, quads and hammys does the trick for me.
