I don't know any details but I understood that there was a falling out with the recent coaching changes and she just left the team. I don't think it was performance based since a few walk-ons from that time are still on the team.
She was a great athlete and down-to-earth personality at Summit HS in Oregon. Unfortunately none of their dream team class of distance runners of recent years is running much anymore.
she did'nt agree with the new head. i say out with the old and in with the new. she was a bum her last two years under floreal. they should have took her money a long time ago
Schueler, 22, still runs frequently, but her competitive urge is now satisfied by club Ultimate Frisbee rather than Division I track and field.
She does not seem to have time to compete in track anyway. This Thanksgiving break she is leading a service trip of fellow students to California’s Central Valley, focusing on the health of migrant farmworkers. She leads Stanford’s United Students for Veterans’ Health, working volunteer shifts at the nursing home at the veterans hospital in Menlo Park, not far from campus.
Thanks for posting the article. It answered all my questions. It seems Kellie is destined to to do great things in venues outside of track and field. Good for her. The article mentions she ran a half marathon in San Francisco. I wonder what her time was?
