it has gone unnoticed her on LR. He is the real deal.
Can go 2:04 flat with no wind.
He already has run 2:04:05, Berlin 5th fastest ever in his second race at the distance.

He has been the real deal for a loooooooooooong time.
Best all around distance runner of all time? He's certainly making a case for that.
Dude is the most consistent runner of all time. How many years in a row did he break 7:30 for 3k? 13 for 5k?
No excuses, just good performances. Real grinder.
This makes me wish El Guerrouj had stayed around and maybe moved up to the marathon. Wouldn't it be fantastic to see Bekele v. Kipchoge v. El G again? (I guess we can settle for Bekele v. Kipchoge though!)
sure, but now in the marathon as well (since 2013).
Kipchoge's too cool for school, I like how he and Bekele did their own thing and stayed out of the hype, hope Kipchoge does the Commonwealth marathon.
In a way, I'm more impressed by him than Kipsang who's already the WR holder and expected to win by default. Kipchoge and Bekele could renew their rivalry to mirror Tergat and Geb.
I completely agree! It could be quite an exciting and interesting few years to come, Kipchoge and Bekele had great competitions on the track, it would be perfect to see them battle each other once again in the marathon/half marathon. The rivalry between Tergat and Geb was so inspiring to watch.
Eliud Kipchoge is also one of the nicest guys around. I met him at the Carlsbad 5000 a few times. He's a very positive person and very friendly. Even when he didn't win, he was more than happy to take pictures with fans and was always smiling.
He's a true professional. And I still think he's got some of the best form I've ever seen when it comes to running.
he's also now the most consistent beginning marathoner ever. saw it on twitter than his average of his first three marathons (he's only done 3 so far) is just under 2:05, a few seconds faster than #2 all time, Dennis Kimetto. the all time fastest top 3 average is of course wilson kipsang with a ridiculous 2:03:47

Yup, he's one 2 out of those 3.....only 2nd to Kipsang breaking the WR in Berlin.
Fun fact: Bernard Koech, who Kipchoge bested by over a minute in Rotterdam, beat Kipchoge by almost 2 minutes in the San Diego half marathon- April, 2013. Koech ran under 59 minutes! I was there. I PR'd that day :)
Jakob Ingebrigtsen has a 1989 Ferrari 348 GTB and he's just put in paperwork to upgrade it
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
