have a feeling Kuchar will win for some reason. Hope Bubba gets real close then chokes on the last hole. I like watching Bubba, Snedeker and Westwood cry after a close miss.

Haven't been able to watch as closely as I would like, but it's definitely wide open for the taking tomorrow.
Going to be interesting to see how Spieth handles final round major pressure as well as firming conditions at Augusta.
Westwood, as always, lurks. Seriously, is there a guy that contendeds more consistently at majors than this dude? Like every single major Sunday he is around the front page of the leaderboard. Cannot seem to get the job done though.
Kuchar could be dangerous, but if Bubba is on I think he takes it going away pretty easily, the only downside is he is a little streaky. Jimenez I have no idea what to expect, I don't think I'm picking him though.
Picking top three in order I'm going
1)Bubba
2)Kuchar
3)Speith
Jimenez as a sleeper pick, but don't see it happening. Don't see anyone else winning unless the weather is really bad, too many guys concentrated at the top to do much from 3 or 4 back unless someone really has a magical final round.
My prediction is he collapses on the final round. The pressure must be unreal.
Remember when folks thought Rory McIlroy was going to win everything?

Hope he wins. Masters winners are exempt for life. The more people in the exempt pool the tougher for repeat winners. Masters needs more people in that pool.
Hey guys, thanks for chatting about me. Believe it or not, I can't sleep tonight, lol. Way too nervous to sleep! I'll give it hell tomorrow (er, today!). Thanks for your support. Cheer for me!
Yeah, right after McIlroy won the US Open everyone was proclaiming him the next greatest golfer. The pundits hailed his swing as being the closest to perfect as they had seen and they declared Tiger Woods dead on the spot. Well, Woods hasn't delivered any further majors, but the last time I checked he was still #1 in the world and was the reigning player of the year. So, there you go...
Pulling for Spieth, as a fellow Longhorn - even if he was there only a short time. Hook 'Em.
Rory Mcilroy was the real deal too.

Umm, don't jinx it. Best not to mention that word.

McIlroy has won several majors already. He's doing fine.
If you want disappointments, over hyped upstarts, look at none other than Sergio Garcia.
Tiger used to be young. He has come and gone just like this kid will. Happens to the best of them.

Two is several?

Sergio is an absurdly good ball-striker, but between putting and that 6 inch space between the ears he doesn't seem to have what it takes to win the big ones.
It's easy to proclaim players as great based on some good results, but you have to watch for a while to get a feel of the player. A great short game is almost always a must, and they have to have that sense of handling themselves well in big events.
I tend to think you can win often on tour with an "ok" short game, but when it comes to the big events the courses are much tougher and setup even faster. You are going to miss plenty of greens and face very difficult shots. If the short game can't support that, you just can't win unless a player gets crazy hot for one week.

I know Mike Weir left Ontario because of the problems with Toronto Negros.
lmfao. I always wondered what happened to our lefty, midget Canadian friend.
>short game is key...
off topic, but do they test for anti-anxiety stuff at the majors? How many golfers do you think use those to control the yips? I read one pro who said beta-blockers were big on the tour in the 80s.
I do remember some hearsay about golfers using such medications. Not sure if it was true or not.

Nicklaus always said he never tried to win the majors, he just had to wait until the other guys lost them.

I think there is alot of truth to this. You get rare exceptions like some PGAs, or maybe an Open Championship where the wind doesn't blow; but generally playing solid steady golf, especially on Sunday, gets the job done.
Unless your Tiger in 2000' at Pebble. Then you just do whatever the fvck you want.
Tiger's run at Pebble in 2000 was absolutely incredible. I could be wrong, but didn't he make almost every putt (if not EVERY putt) inside of 12 feet? I'm in my mid 30s, and before I die, I wouldn't be surprised if a golfer never dominates a given PGA season like Tiger dominated 2000.
