Bahahahahahhahahahahhaha this is truly POD if you get it!
Is Watson running this spring?
Watson is running Ottawa
Only weird story I found was a quote from a guy with a mullet calling him "cold neck".
The reference you quote must be really really obscure.

I won't tell you exactly what it is, but search the trackie thread on the chiba selection and look at one of the cheap shots some anon takes at him about young!
All I saw was a post regarding an anono handle being ripped apart about it. After looking at the thread, seems like they rightfully deleted the post that was under reference.

I think of Cam Levins, Nate Brennan, and Mo Ahmed when I hear Canada's big guns. But none of them run the marathon.
I can see Mo running the marathon soon. He could be very good at it.

Coolsaet snatched some young talent for himself (knowmsayin). The quality of his selection is subject to debate.

Interesting, he uses the nickname "coldneck" on that other site.
For some reason, all I can think of is that Seinfeld where George wants to be called "T-bone" and orders T-Bone steak at a lunch meeting.
ONLY ONE AMERICAN RAN FASTER THAN REID COOLSAET LAST YEAR. SO PLEASE, KINDLY, SHUT THE FRONT DOOR BUD.
Back around 2004 Reid Coolsaet posted on this message board as "coldneck". Back then I saw him run in mile races in Cambreidge Ontario a couple of times. Those races commemorated Sir Roger Bannister's first sub four minute mile.
I believe Reid is currently ranked third on Canada's all time marathon list as of this moment. Will that change tomorrow?
There are many reasons why I don't go to trackie. Even the logo screams "for young people only". Now I have even more reason to not go there.
Whatever happened to Simon Bairu?
Bairu is still training but never seems to race. Whatever happened in NYC in his debut marathon apparently derailed his career, he's never been the same since. It's a shame, when he ran 27:23 I figured it was the start of something great. But like Solinsky that race will be the apex of their career.
Coolsaet 2:13:40 [elite]
But remember, DST is still a genius.
Nope. Looks like Jerome Drayton will hold the record a little longer. No Canadian has ever gone under 2:10:00
