The homepage got me thinking. The Brojos addressed Mo Farah fans, yet I haven't seen anyone on these message boards who actually likes him. So my poll is:
Are you a Mo Farah fan? No explanations necessary.
My answer: No

No.
He has a great personality and awesome work ethic, but he cheats on his wife and isn't an American or one of the Kenyan marathoners I root for, so no I'm not a fan.
No.
Yes
No. He was an "also ran" b level pro who suddenly in his late 20's became a world beater. I am not a fan because I believe he cheated his way to the top.
Honestly I'm not sure but I effing hate the Mobot.
he crossed over to the 'dark side' and made it big
and made lots of $$$ along the way..
i've more issues with his cynical and controlled approach to athletics and racing than i do with his 'transformation'
so no i don't particulary like him...........
in fact i've a lot more respect for bekele even though he's been up to no good for years
...but i like his style and the guys got ba11s
he took off in paris and left them for dead!!!
what's mo doing?????????????????
1) having a pop at bekele for chickening out of london
2)meanwhile mo has decided to hang back off the lead pace in london like a chicken, going for the british record instead
huh!
Yes, indeed.
I love Mo Farah when he retires he will goes down as the most versatile talented runner in the history of the sports

A runner/racer who doesn't want to test himself against his biggest opponent?
Until he does so he will never be the most whatever.

Hey Anonytwit, why don't you tell us the name of your "inside source" who told you this ridiculous fact? Obviously he had no intention of keeping this info secret so you may as well out him as the lunatic he is.
No. He won the Olympics and WC by cheating - he got the others to run slowly and unfairly sprinted past them in a dishonest way.

Which is hilarious. I audibly laughed when Mo compared himself to Bekele because they're both champions.
The transformation Mo has undergone leading up to this race has been astounding. Mo has never actually been about cementing a legacy, which is fine. He wants to get rich and get out. He just happened to "figure it out" late in life and capitalize on a slump in the world distance field. But I do get the sense that Bekele wants to be immortalized as much as he wants a payday.
Does Mo get his full fee if he sits on the second pack leader and trips himself for an "also ran" or DNF?
yes
Yes, i prefer to watch his races and cheer
it's beyond a joke...
he's getting a boatload of $$$ and publicity
last year he runs half the race..
thus year he's not even giving it a shot at a win
he's got some nerve having a pop at bekele

Hey man take a chill pill. It's an anonymous message board. Some people know stuff some don't. Just guess for yourself which category I fall into, no reason to freak out on me. If you don't believe me ignore me, if you do believe me make a comment.
1) Farah isn't a Somali. He's British.
2) He didn't take nearly a minute off of his 10k time. It was more like 30 seconds or so if you know what you're talking about.
3) The rest of your post is just as wrong as the previous two points that I just mentioned
No, but some of the comments from my fellow "no" sayers are making me reconsider.
And if Mo breaks 2:05 in London, that "no" will turn into a "yes". I don't care what drugs are involved - sub 3:29 1500m, world titles at 5000m & 10000m, sub 2:05 marathon within less than 12 months would be epic. Heck, sub 2:07 will be pretty darn impressive given the other results in the last 12 months.
But if he really goes out in 62:15 to the half, I think the most likely scenario is a dnf, and the next most likely scenario is that he "jogs" in somewhere between 2:07 - 2:10. Truly hope he proves me wrong.
btw, I find it hard to believe that people on this board are criticizing Mo for planning to "only" go out in 62:15. Let's see, that's better than course record pace at what is probably the most consistently competitive marathon in the world and it's his debut. Different story if that first half turns out to be 63:30 or slower.
