So I am a junior who over this winter went from 60 to 80 mpw and saw my PRs go from 17:50 to 16:43 and 10:50 to 10:12 and 4:58 to 4:41 still not great but I am proud of them. Now my new coach wants me to lower my mileage this summer because he says it's not good for my development. I plan on running 100 plus miles a week all summer and honestly I don't care about my development. I am just another shitty high schooler who won't go on to college, so why not go all out for my senior year and beat few of the talented punks in my league. I was wondering if anyone had a summer plan that would get me as ready as possible for this one season, I don't care what the side effects are. I just want to get as fast as possible for this one last season.
