she's clutch. What kind of miler could she be?

You wanna talk about clutch, how about Phyllis Francis?! She broke the NCAA record in the open 400 AND the 4x4, winning the latter by .02!

She runs a great 400 on the 4x4. Split 51.2 at NCAA indoor 90 minutes after winning the 800. What could she split outdoor? 50.5 ? That's an 800 runner. She could break the Collegiate 800 record outdoor.
Why do people insist on wondering what someone could do at a longer distance? How about wondering what she could do at shorter distance?
the 800 is her best event as evidenced by her elite quarter speed and the fact that she just won an NCAA title
She did a 1500 last year at the Oregon Preview meet. She ran 4:22, and finished third (Efraimson won in 4:19).
She also went 5:02.61 for the 1600m in high school, and ran well in cross country. She has great aerobic capacity for a sprinter, so it makes you wonder.
Didn't she singlehandedly outscore every team at her HS state meet by winning four events?
She won some ungodly number of state titles (15 or more; North Dakota, so a bit easier) ranging from about 4 100s (lost her senior year?) through the 1600 and won XC at least once).
She has several 51.x legs on the outdoor 4x400, but I doubt she can hit 50.x in the outdoor race and I have always thought her best chances internationally are in the 800.
A cute one.
She will be among the best 400m runners in the 800m at the elite level and it's still unlikely that she would have the kind of endurance for the 1500m needed to win the last lap in championships, but endurance is obviously more trainable. No reason to think that she won't be able to run 1:57 some day with that kind of speed.
Girl is a babe. Hit me up Laura!
She's a "hard worker" using circa 2005 Dyestat lingo

How is endurance obviously more trainable?

What does that mean?
her HS resume is extremely impressive in terms of range (yes it's North Dakota but look at the times)
11.90 for the 100m dash as a 10th grader!! (basically worth around ~10.7 for guys)

It means she's hot
She quite possibly had the greatest HS career of any athlete in history. Check out her profile from the Oregon website below. 22 time champ. 6 400 titles, 5 200 & 800 titles, so 7th-12th grades for the 400.... It goes on and on.
Prep: An Olympic Trials semifinalist (800 meters), IAAF World Junior Championships semifinalist (800) and 22-time North Dakota state champion. Dominated the North Dakota prep running scene for Fargo South High School. Won six straight state titles at 400 meters, five straight at 200 and 800 meters, four at 100 meters and also claimed a pair of cross country titles. As a senior, captured state crowns at 200 (24.90), 400 (53.25) and 800 (2:17.64) meters and was second in the 100 (12.38). The 400 mark was a meet record and the seventh-fastest among high schoolers in 2010. Went on to compete in the 800 meters at the USA Junior Track & Field Championships, where she was the runner-up in 2:05.80. Wrapped prep career at the 2010 IAAF World Championships, where she ran a season-best 2:04.34 in the semifinals, missing the final by .01. That was the No. 2 U.S. high school 800 time in the nation in 2010. From 2006 to 2009 won four straight North Dakota state titles at four different distances: 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters and 800 meters. Was also the North Dakota cross country champion as a freshman and sophomore. Following her sophomore season, qualified for the 2008 Olympic Trials, where she ran 2:04.03 in the preliminary round to qualify for the semifinals. Her personal best in the 800, 2:03.08, came a few weeks earlier at the Jim Bush Invitational in Los Angeles. Was the 2009 Nike Indoor National Champion at 800 meters despite the cancellation of North Dakota indoor track season due to extreme flooding in Fargo. Placed second in the 800 at the 2009 Junior USA Track & Field Championships in Eugene (2:07.41). High School Bests: 100 Meters - 11.90, 2008; 200 Meters - 24.01, 2010; 400 Meters - 53.25, 2010; 800 Meters - 2:03.08, 2008.
