Cheserek moved so Korolev would obstruct Lawi from matching the move, good call.

thats how I saw the move, coulb be wrong
No way did Cheserek's move cause Korolev to obstruct Lawi. Korolev was in lane 2 and at the speed in which Cheserek passed, if Lawi would have instantaneously responded(which he didn't) he would have been past Korolev anyway. However, it was brilliant because you can see Lawi looking at Korolev and not being focused on Cheserek at the time he made his big move. Listening to Cheserek in the post race interview I think whether Korolev was there or not that is where the move was going to be made. So lets not give the man who is undefeated in college too much credit. P.S. Does anyone believe the announcers when they said Lagat does 60 mpw and Lawi 80 mpw. That seems low...

He's not undefeated in college. I watched Aaron Nelson beat him in XC at the Dellinger Invite.
Lagat runs 6 days a week. So yea.
It was as if Lawi didn't even think of cheserek as a threat.
In the flotrack interview, he didn't even mention chesereks name when they asked who would threaten his triple.
It's too bad the triple ended in the first race
I doubt that anyone actually thought Lawi was going to be successful with the triple.
I ain't see da race
Yeah I thought it would be way too hard. I'm surprised he lost the 5 of all races but I don't think he should have even attempted it
He didn't have a chance to win all three. Mac Fleet would have beat him in the mile in the finals, so he might have gotten two, but not the mile.
I don't know if people noticed but Stinson put in a frantic finish, closing fast on Lawi. On the last lap, he gained nearly three seconds on Lawi. With another lap, Stinson might have finished ahead of Lawi.

Lawi was dogging it because he has to save something for two more races
chesereks a beast closed in 25.x
Cheese won by 6 seconds, no way lalang was going to beat him last night I don't care who the move was made by.

ANOTHER LAP?
Dumbest comment of the day right there.
The one thing Ches has that Lawi does not is the ability the quickly shift gears. Yifter use to win a lot of races by quickly accelerating and catching people off guard...obviously you need the endurance to hold on to the lead. Anyone who saw the NCAA XC Champ should not have thought Ches did not have a change...perhaps Lawi did not watch that race.
