How is it everyone thought (and correctly so) that Regina Jacobs was doping when she was still competing on the world stage while in her late 30's, yet no one really seems to question Bernard Lagat? I bring this up because letsrun just linked to an article from 2002 where they asked Regina the "tough" questions, but I don't see the same questioning of Lagat who just won the US Indoor's 3k at the age of 39. The same age of Regina when she was finally caught doping after winning the US outdoor 1,500 title. Maybe the track world was too sidetracked following Salazar's DQ appeals to ask those “tough” questions. And Lagat does have a positive A sample on his record, but seems to be given a free pass. Is it because he is more likeable than Rupp (I will admit those Lagat big heads at US Indoors were pretty dope). I can’t be the only one skeptical of a 39 year old who is blowing the doors off of the competition? Can I?
