I 100% disagree and believe Hasay's statement. First of all, she is going to be on a whirlwind of emotion after that race. She wanted to make the team as much as anyone else. Whether deserving of a DQ or not, she did get bumped. She wasn't over there in the tent making appeals going back and forth. She may have even left the arena not knowing what the decision was. Either way, when I place myself in her shoes, I would like the benefit of clearer thoughts and some time for deliberation to make the decision she did. Anyone bashing Hasay is putting themselves in the situation with the benefit of additional information and without the hindrance of being this close to making the team.
