Should be quite the battle. Rupp, Lagat, Hill, Lomong, or a surprise race from one of the 2nd tier guys?

I think Lagat, Hill, and Rupp will be top 3 (not necessarily that order). Lomong hasn't seemed to be in good form so far. But, yes, should be a great race. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out from a tactical standpoint.

Only two make the team.
Yes, I know. I just think the World spots will come down to those 3 runners. I think Rupp and Hill are probably good bets, but it seems crazy to not pick Lagat in a tactical championship race.
Jordan Hasay on the women's side.

Is she running? She isn't entered currently (granted, there aren't a lot of entries currently).
Well, in Jordan's interview on letsrun she states that she's flying to Albuquerque to train for the USA nationals. It only makes sense that she will be in the 3000M.
Lagat and Rupp obviously are the favorites.
If Rupp misses training due to the injury, Hill or Lomong will take the other spot. Garrett Heath and Bumbalough will challenge as well.

Is it really that obvious? Hill just ran a 7:34 closing in 26 mid the last 200m. I don't know that I could say that either Rupp or Lagat are obviously a favorite over a performance like that.

+1
That race really shook things up
Lagat and Hill. Rupp won't qualify. You heard it here first. (yes, yes, LRC, I know you posted a story critical of Rupp's chances after Hill's double, but you didn't ever come out and predict him not qualifying).
Bumpity
Hill qualifies.
Lagat won't retire NOT making a world's team. This guy is the king of indoor, 2x indoor 3000m world champ, handing Farah a whooping in 2012.
what about leer? he said he is entering both 3000 and 1500. should it be a slow race I don't see anyone out kicking him... what if its leer and hill?
Although i am a Rupper, i think that in a tactical indoor race that he does not have the acceleration that some of the others like Lagat and Leer have. There also always seems to be a delay in his covering a move by the leaders. And he does not seem willing to make an early move himself to try to run away. I hope that i am wrong and that we see him in the 3k at Worlds.

Is txRUNNERgirl racing? I know she usually competes at Nationals. If she is I will be rooting for her!
Lagat is the defending world champ. He should have a free pass. So, we get 2 more.
LETS GO RYAN HILL
Hill and Lagat (I hope).
Leer nabs second spot in the 1500.
Hasay is on the starting list.
